Waste streams

In implementing Project Upholstery and Build, we try to separate our waste streams as much as possible and offer them for recycling. In consultation with the client, we ensure that the waste always goes back to Mirato pre-processing.

· Carpet tiles, carpet cutting waste, PCV cutting waste are offered to the Tarkett RestArt program.

· Floor debris and cutting waste are returned to our supplier Forbo, Interface and Cotap. They use the remains to make material again.

· Primer and adhesives come in cardboard boxes with bags (Cube It simple) instead of plastic buckets. Less burdensome during production, more efficient in transport and use.

All other waste is separated and offered to processors:

· Wooden pallets are returned to the manufacturer as much as possible. Residual pallets go to local projects and Meeuwenoord.

· Plastic and foil are disposed of separately. (PreZero sorts the usable part and has it processed into new materials).

· Cardboard and paper are disposed of separately. (AMP).

· Other residual waste goes to a processor who promises us to use approximately 98% of the waste for recycling and energy purposes. (Meeuwenoord)
